Give it a shot and let people know what you thought. Who knows maybe we will get some really great stuff and the missteps they have made so far will be erased.I don't think so but hey I never thought I would see the day new star wars didn't excite me so anything is possible.Īnd hey if you really like this new stuff that's great.I'm not sure I can be convinced to try but heck I liked lots of things plenty were considered bad (looks at legend of Korra). For me right now I've collected all the legends material I can and if something can fit in legends timeline and is good I might headcanon it around but that's for me. Some of the first Disney books printed after the sale were in production as legends before Lucas film was sold so those are pretty good and I'm sure there is some good Disney stuff if you not invested in legends. Just it's hard to care when their stores are told over the graves of stories you loved. Disney in their infinite wisdom decides leaving him alone isn't ok and decided yah let's make jar jar get blamed for the empire and everyone hates him and he got exiled again and became a street clown only liked by children.like it's jar jar spots not important but why sling mud or mess with it when it was fineĭoes this mean they can't tell good stories no. In legends he just fades into obscurity after episode 3. Removing the name of boba/jangos ship (slave 1) I mean shit look at jar jar. I mean it's obvious some of what they change is just to stick it to old time fans. It's hard to get excited for anything when it's attached to the Disney versions. The sequel trilogy was basically to me what season 8 of game of thrones was for fans of that. So if you liked the Nihil in Light of the Jedi I would probably check this comic out. I do know that it features the Nihil leader Marchion Ro a lot. I haven't read the Adventures comic so I can't really say anything about it. It's like a story where you know everything will one day fall apart so there's a lot of drama in how these characters will fall. From the audiodrama Dooku: Jedi Lost we know that Keeve will eventually leave the Jedi Order and become one of the Lost Twenty and in the comic we also see that Sskeer has his issues that he's secretly dealing with as well. It's about a Jedi named Keeve and her trandoshan master, Sskeer. The Marvel comic is more of a mystery story. They're essentially sentient plants that are hard to kill and they sustain themselves by eating meat so they see the galaxy as a big buffet for the taking. Into the Dark is a nice little book about some Jedi investigating a space station and encountering another new enemy, the Drengir. The Jedi of this era are genuinely caring and willing to bend the rules a bit if it's required to serve the light. They're essentially a space biker gang/terrorist organization who get insanely high on space meth and go indiscriminately kill innocent people when they're bored. Light of the Jedi is essentially a disaster movie but in the form of a Star Wars novel. Question about Thrawn, or Who's your favorite character?
